99 Cents Only Stores gift cards are perfect for birthdays, holidays or just to say Thank You!  Gift cards may be purchased at any store location for $10 and $25.

Your purchase and/or use of one of our gift cards means you agree to all terms and conditions applicable to the gift card.  Any balance on a gift card may be used in any 99 Cents Only Stores towards a merchandise purchase.  Purchases will be deducted from your gift card until the balance on it reaches $0.  Protect your gift cards like cash, because 99 Cents Only Stores is not responsible for use of a gift card without your permission.

Do 99 Cents Only Stores gift cards expire?

No, our gift cards do not expire.

Are there any fees associated with 99 Cents Only Stores gift cards?

No, we do not charge any fees on our gift cards.

How do I redeem my gift card?

When making a purchase at a 99 Cents Only Store, provide your gift card to the sales associate when asked for payment.  Any balance on your gift card may be used towards merchandise purchases.  A gift card may not be used to purchase another gift card or returned or applied to previously purchased merchandise. 

Your gift card must be present for redemption.  We cannot accept for redemption an altered gift card.  We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to decline to redeem a gift card that has been reported to us as lost, damaged, used without permission or stolen, or that appears to us, in our sole discretion, to be counterfeit, or that we believe, in our sole discretion, was obtained by fraud.

If your gift card does not cover the total cost of your purchase, you will be responsible for paying the difference.  If the total cost of your purchase is less than the balance on your gift card, any unused balance will remain on your gift card.

Can I pay with more than one 99 Cents Only Stores gift card?

Yes.  When making a purchase at a 99 Cents Only Store, provide your gift cards to the sales associate when asked for payment.  Any balance on your gift cards may be used towards merchandise purchases.  A gift card may not be used to purchase another gift card or returned or applied to previously purchased merchandise.

How do I check the balance of my gift card?        

◦           Call Customer Relations at 888-582-5999.

◦           In a 99 Cents Only Store, please ask a sales associate to check the balance on your gift card for you.

Are there any limits on how many gift cards I can purchase?

No, there is no limit, but we recommend that our sales associates scan no more than 10 gift cards per transaction to ensure that all of the gift cards are activated.  Gift cards can be purchased only with cash, debit and EBT cash.

Can I redeem my gift card for cash?

A gift card may not be redeemed for cash unless required by law and only to the extent required by law.  Please consult the law of your own state for more information regarding gift card cash redemption. 

Can I get a replacement gift card if mine is damaged?

Yes.  If there is a balance on a damaged gift card, 99 Cents Only Stores will replace it if you provide the gift card to us when you are visiting one of our stores.  We will load on the replacement gift card the remaining value in our records at the time we receive the gift card and request for a replacement gift card.  You can also call Customer Relations for assistance at 888-582-5999.

Can I get a replacement gift card if mine is lost, used without my permission or stolen?

Protect your gift cards like cash because 99 Cents Only Stores is not responsible for use of a gift card if it is lost, used without your permission or stolen.  If there is a balance on the gift card, 99 Cents Only Stores will replace the gift card only if you provide us with the original proof of purchase, which may include a copy of a receipt, credit card statement or bank statement, or other documentation that will enable us to confirm purchase of the gift card.  We will only load on the replacement gift card the remaining value in our records at the time the lost gift card or unauthorized use of the gift card is reported to us.  Please visit your nearest store or contact Customer Relations at 888-582-5999 for assistance.

Immediately report a lost or stolen gift card to reduce the risk of unauthorized use of the gift card by calling Customer Relations at 888-582-5999.

What if I want to return an item I purchased with a gift card?

You can return items purchased with a gift card in accordance with our return policy.  Any amount due to you will be credited to a new 99 Cents Only Stores gift card.

Can I change the value of a gift card after I have purchased it?

No, currently our gift cards cannot be loaded with additional funds.

Are there any other restrictions or limitations on my use of a 99 Cents Only Stores gift card?

99 Cents Only Stores will not honor a gift card that it believes was obtained by fraud.  We reserve the right to place a hold on a gift card’s underlying funds if, in our sole discretion, we suspect fraud.  “Fraud” may include, but is not limited to, theft of a gift card, unauthorized use of a gift card, or a 99 Cents Only Stores gift card purchased using a credit or debit card followed by a cardholder-initiated request for a chargeback.  A “chargeback” is a credit to a cardholder’s credit or debit account in response to a customer’s claim that the debit or credit card was used to make a fraudulent purchase.  For information on a hold placed on a gift card, please call Customer Relations at 888-582-5999. 

If we conclude that a gift card was obtained by theft or fraud, in our sole discretion, we reserve the right to refuse maintain the hold on the underlying gift card funds until we determine the rightful owner of the funds and to distribute the underlying funds to the state’s attorney general’s office or to the true owner of the funds, which may include reissuing a gift card to the state’s attorney general’s office or true owner of the funds. 

We also reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to decline to sell anyone a 99 Cents Only Stores gift card.
